Leadership Philosophy
Democratic Leadership
As President of the Young Scholars Program, I try to lead as a guide, not a commander, making sure every cohort is heard and every opinion is valued. I lead weekly meetings where each officer shares what they want to see and gain from the program. I believe there is strength in numbers, and making decisions together as a team is what keeps our program moving forward.

Focusing on tasks and setting goals allows me to build structure so I can get things done more efficiently.
Task Behaviors I Use
I block out every hour of my day in Google Calendar, from classes and work to meals and study time. During syllabus week, I load every assignment, project, quiz, and test into my Reminders app with its due date so I can prioritize what is most important and most urgent.

As President of the Young Scholars Program, I make sure every department, officer, and member is heard, and I share information so our team can make decisions together.
